Woodside Wishing Well raises over $32,000!!!

WOODSIDE WISHING WELL: Newsflash and Final Results!!

In a new development (and as if conditions were not bad enough), Kenya’s severe drought has resulted in a cholera epidemic now sweeping through northern Kenya due to the germ-infested quality of the sparse water available. The work of The Samburu Project is more urgently important to the survival of the people in the Samburu than ever!

The goal of the Woodside Wishing Well’s Walk for Water at Woodside Elementary School in Woodside, CA was to raise $13,000 to fund a fresh-water well benefiting over 1,000 people. However, we are thrilled to announce that due to the extraordinary support of our very special and close-knit community, we have raised approximately $32,000, and will be able to fund the drilling of TWO wells next month!! Over 2,000 people will now have life-saving access to fresh water thanks to you!!

This holiday season we can be deeply grateful for the inspired effort of all who participated in this opportunity to foster a sense of global consciousness and responsibility in our children, while making a dramatic improvement in the lives of those in desperate need! A heartfelt thank you from the Woodside Wishing Well and The Samburu Project!!

Together we have improved lives!!
