Walk4Water: March 21, 2010

Join us on March 21st for our 1st annual Walk4Water! (Los Angeles, Ca)

When: Sunday March 21, 2010 from 8 am – 11 am

Where: Sangria Restaurant at 68 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach  (The walk will be a 4-mile loop between Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach)

Why: To celebrate World Water Day and support The Samburu Project’s clean water initiatives.

Who: Sign up as an individual walker, as a family, or gather a group of friends, co-workers, or classmates together and form a team to raise funds and awareness for The Samburu Project’s well drilling projects.

Registration is easy!! It only takes TWO STEPS!

1. Pay your walker registration fee of $26 by clicking this button:

(this fee is per walker, and includes a Samburu Project t-shirt)

2. Download the Walk4Water Registration Packet. Send an email to info@thesamburuproject.org with all the information requested in the Registration Packet, including your shirt size. This saves paper and time!

Alternatively, print the registration packet and fill the form out to mail or scan/fax your information to The Samburu Project. The fax number is 1 310 439 1776, or mail the completed form to:

If you would prefer to pay the $26 registration fee by check, please make checks payable to “The Samburu Project” and mail them to the above address.

Once you have registered, begin collecting your support!

Download and print out the Pledge Form. Use this when asking family, friends, and co-workers for support. Please bring your completed Pledge Form to the event with any donations collected in person.(For online donations, we will notify you when a donation has been made in your name).

There are several ways supporters can donate to walkers:

1. Donations to support walkers can be made online simply by clicking the button below. Paypal will provide a section to note the walker  who the donation is supporting.

2. Donations can also be made by cash or check (made payable to The Samburu Project) and given directly to the walker at time of collection, or mailed to the office at 1801 Lincoln Blvd. #212 Venice, CA  90291.

All donations must be submitted by the day of the Walk, March 21, either online or if the walker has collected donations in person, they must be turned in, along with completed pledge form, to the registration table at the event.

Don’t forget: For just $13, you can provide water for 1 person for life!!
