We offer a limited number of internships that will allow you to learn different aspects of how a non-profit runs while also helping to benefit the lives of thousands of people in Kenya.  The TSP office is located in Culver City, CA in the historic Helms Bakery Building.

TSP is looking for a motivated individual who is interested in water and how it impacts women's empowerment to assist our Director of Development with all things Grants. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Director of Development with identifying potential grant funders.
  • Develop statistical data for grant applications
  • Maintain grants calendar

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in non profit development desired.
  • Experience with GrantStation, USAID, the Foundation Library, etc a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills desired.
  • Excellent organizational skills a must.

Grants Intern


E-Commerce Intern

TSP is looking for a motivated individual to build out the TSP online store. 

responsibilities

  • Collaborate with TSP staff to build online store on existing TSP website using Squarespace platform.
  • Oversee photography of items. 
  • Experience with e-commerce helpful.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with e-commerce helpful.
  • Photographic skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills desired.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an attentive nature for details desired.

Office Admin Intern

TSP is looking for Administrative Office Interns to assist the TSP staff with a variety of administrative and organizational tasks.

responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative functions in the HQ which include but not limited to; answering phones, processing donations, updating Salesforce and drafting donation acknowledgment letters.
  • Support the planning and execution of TSP events
  • Updating TSP database and mailing lists

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Previous experience with Constant Contact 
  • Previous experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent written, verbal, and email communication skills
  • Candidates should be reliable, self-motivated, highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented 
  • Flexible and willing to learn and take on a wide range of responsibilities

Special Events Intern

As a Special Events Intern you will help in the planning and implementation of special events and fundraisers. You will learn how to plan an event from the beginning to the end!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Walk through the creative process of putting together the collateral (printed and digital) material
  • Solicit companies and restaurants for in-kind donations
  • Manage event details and logistics
  • Assist on the day of the event

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and email communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills and comfortable communicating on the phone and in person
  • Reliable and self-motivated, highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible in stressful situations
  • Strong self-initiative and willingness to learn and take on a wide range of responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
