WHY WE WALK
The Samburu Project’s WALK FOR WATER is an an annual fundraising event to grow awareness of the worldwide water crisis and to provide access to clean water to the Samburu people in Northern Kenya. What began as a Southern California beach walk has grown into a national event. In 2018 walks were held in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Natick, New York, Malibu, San Francisco, Scarsdale, Washington, D.C. and Woodside, CA.
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS
APRIL 14, 2019 - HERMOSA BEACH, CA
This year’s marks the 10th Annual Hermosa Beach Walk for Water! The walk will take place on April 14th, 2019. Walkers will meet at American Junkie where they will check in, receive t-shirts, create signs and get some pre-walk inspiration. From there, the 4-mile pier-to-pier walk begins! After our walkers are done they will be greeted with breakfast, music, raffles, goodie bags and more. Bring a friend, bring your dog, and walk, run, bike or skate as we come together and raise money for clean water!

HOST A WALK IN YOUR TOWN
TSP welcomes water warriors in additional cities to join the fun and be part of our global community. Helping solve the water crisis can be as easy as a walk in the park with your friends, riding your bike down the coast, running laps around a track, or dancing for water for hours. Any way you want to embrace the fun, spread awareness and raise money for clean water is okay with us!
